Are We Missing Books from the Bible?

The original King James Bible included writings that most modern versions leave out. Other Christian traditions still consider some of them Scripture. That doesn't necessarily mean anything is missing, but it does make me wonder what else I don't know about the Bible I've always trusted.

Something Still Doesn't Sit Right

More than a year after Charlie Kirk's assassination, I still admire his unwavering Christian faith, intellectual courage, and remarkable discernment. Yet questions linger about Erika Kirk's public response and the role she has assumed since his death. It's a difficult tension between trusting our instincts, exercising biblical discernment, and remembering that only God truly knows the heart.

When a Threat Is Spoken Out Loud, Believe What You Hear

Threats of religious conquest are being spoken aloud, yet confronting them can draw more condemnation than the threats themselves. There's a dangerous difference between defending religious freedom and tolerating those who would destroy it. The West needs to remember that distinction before it loses both.

An Act of Cowardice, Not Courage

A football player blindsides an opponent carrying the American flag before the game even begins. Beyond the disgraceful hit lies a bigger concern: what are we teaching young men when we excuse a lack of discipline, sportsmanship, and honor as simply getting caught up in the moment?

“Lord” Is More Than Part of the Phrase

We can be enthusiastic about what Jesus provides while resisting what He commands. “Lord and Savior” comes easily off the tongue, but it carries a claim on the decisions we would rather keep to ourselves.

A Man Died. The Internet Found It Funny.

A priest was killed during Mass. Strangers responded with jokes, laughing emojis, and applause. The tragedy exposed something far more disturbing than a freak accident: how casually we've learned to celebrate another human being's suffering.

The Child Is the Point

Wanting fewer abortions means little if the child remains disposable. The commandment against murder does not stop at the womb, and calling abortion a right does not erase the human being it kills.

Something Is Getting Your Worship

You can dismiss religion and still spend your life serving something that demands everything you have. Often, the clearest evidence is what you’re willing to excuse to keep it.

Jesus Didn’t Die to Put You on Probation

Every bad week becomes another trial over whether your faith is real. That’s what happens when we turn obedience into the price of belonging to Christ—and start looking to our own progress for assurance only He can give.

Plenty of People. Harder to Find Community.

I don’t need everyone to become a close friend. But I miss the ordinary trust of knowing whom to call—and I’m realizing that building it may require more effort from me than I’ve been giving.

Let Me Cancel

If I can subscribe in thirty seconds, I shouldn’t need twenty minutes and a phone call to leave. The FTC has documented companies using confusing cancellation paths and buried terms to keep customers paying. Calling that “customer retention” doesn’t make it honest. I think the way a business handles your departure tells you as much as its sales pitch. Does it respect your decision, or hope you’ll get frustrated and give up? Proverbs 11:1 condemns dishonest scales. A deliberately confusing website can serve the same purpose: tipping the transaction in the seller’s favor. Earn my next payment…

You Can Defend the Faith Without Acting Like God

Someone asks a difficult question about faith and gets a thoughtful pause instead of an instant reply. Hearing what we don’t know can be more honest than hearing a rehearsed speech.

Being Right Doesn’t Excuse Being Condescending

A packed church and a popular critic can both draw a crowd without giving people what they need. I share the concern about entertainment-driven ministry, but sarcasm can turn a needed correction into another performance.

The Freedom in Being Forgotten

Recognizing that the world will forget us can be liberating. Instead of chasing temporary accolades, we should focus on choices that have eternal significance, knowing God remembers every act of faithfulness.
