📍 Raleigh, NC📖 Micah 6:8

My faith shapes how I see the world and what I write about. I’m drawn to the questions that come up when Scripture meets everyday life—what we believe, how we live, and where the two don’t quite line up. I write to work through those questions honestly and give others something worth discussing. I live in North Carolina with my family, and when I’m not writing, I’m usually reading or working on a new creative project.

    Taking Others With You

Building a platform to turn people away from Christ carries a responsibility that “just asking questions” cannot erase. If you teach people that Jesus cannot be trusted, you had better understand what you’re asking them to reject.

“Lord” Is More Than Part of the Phrase

We can be enthusiastic about what Jesus provides while resisting what He commands. “Lord and Savior” comes easily off the tongue, but it carries a claim on the decisions we would rather keep to ourselves.

  • Something Still Doesn't Sit Right

More than a year after Charlie Kirk's assassination, I still admire his unwavering Christian faith, intellectual courage, and remarkable discernment. Yet questions linger about Erika Kirk's public response and the role she has assumed since his death. It's a difficult tension between trusting our instincts, exercising biblical discernment, and remembering that only God truly knows the heart.

  • Are We Missing Books from the Bible?

The original King James Bible included writings that most modern versions leave out. Other Christian traditions still consider some of them Scripture. That doesn't necessarily mean anything is missing, but it does make me wonder what else I don't know about the Bible I've always trusted.

  • Religious Freedom for Everyone—Except Christians?

A Quran on the library shelf, but no Bible to be found. A Texas student's testimony before Congress exposes a troubling question: Are public schools truly practicing religious neutrality, or has Christianity become the exception to their promises of tolerance and inclusion?

  • The Letter They Loved Until They Didn't

It's remarkable how quickly a moral crusade can become a corporate embarrassment. Perhaps the greatest danger isn't the ideology itself, but a culture willing to surrender its conscience to whoever holds the most influence.

  • The Resurrection Doesn't Need Science's Permission

We've become so accustomed to asking science for proof that we've forgotten the difference between investigating evidence and granting permission for truth to exist. The Shroud of Turin deserves serious examination, but the resurrection of Jesus Christ isn't awaiting a verdict from a laboratory.

  • When a Threat Is Spoken Out Loud, Believe What You Hear

Threats of religious conquest are being spoken aloud, yet confronting them can draw more condemnation than the threats themselves. There's a dangerous difference between defending religious freedom and tolerating those who would destroy it. The West needs to remember that distinction before it loses both.

  • An Act of Cowardice, Not Courage

A football player blindsides an opponent carrying the American flag before the game even begins. Beyond the disgraceful hit lies a bigger concern: what are we teaching young men when we excuse a lack of discipline, sportsmanship, and honor as simply getting caught up in the moment?

  • A Man Died. The Internet Found It Funny.

A priest was killed during Mass. Strangers responded with jokes, laughing emojis, and applause. The tragedy exposed something far more disturbing than a freak accident: how casually we've learned to celebrate another human being's suffering.

  • Schools Are Supposed to Educate Children, Not Raise Them

Academic performance is struggling, yet school boards continue finding time for ideological battles over what children should be exposed to in the classroom. Michele Morrow's remarks at a recent school board meeting raise an uncomfortable question about how far public education has drifted from its priorities.

  • In 1987, This Was a Joke. Today, It's a Debate.

Saturday Night Live mocked the absurdity of a doctor surgically turning healthy baby boys into girls. Nearly forty years after it aired, we're debating whether medically altering healthy children's bodies to affirm gender identity is compassionate care. What was once an obvious punchline has become a disturbing reflection of our culture.

  • Free Speech Isn't Free If It Requires Permission

Britain helped teach the world the value of free expression. Now its own citizens face a troubling question: How free is speech when the government gets to decide which opinions are too offensive to express?

  • The Child Is the Point

Wanting fewer abortions means little if the child remains disposable. The commandment against murder does not stop at the womb, and calling abortion a right does not erase the human being it kills.
